Van Teal
Van Teal was established in 1973 by Hivo and Estela Van Teal. Its first location was based out of Hivo and Estela's home garage. They began manufacturing unique acrylic sculptures that created a statement and niche in the industry. Nowadays, these original sculptures are considered collector’s items. In 1974, the Van Teal sculptures were being sold at art galleries and retailers across the U.S. such as Saks Fifth Avenue.
Through Hivo Van Teal’s vision of art and creativity he developed a collection of lamps. In 1976, Van Teal opened its first showroom at the High Point Furniture Market in North Carolina. Acrylic being an eminent material to the Van Teal brand was the soul of this collection of lamps. Today, acrylic is vastly used throughout the Van Teal line. The Van Teal products have expanded from sculptures to table lamps, chandeliers, torchieres, floor lamps, wall sconces, and decorative accessories. Van Teal is excited to present the newest addition to the line, accent tables and wall art. Each product is conceptualized by Hivo Van Teal and executed with the assistance of a talented design and production team.
This year marks the 41st anniversary of Van Teal, Inc., which is now a third generation family-owned and operated enterprise. Today Van Teal continues to manufacture many of its products in our Miami, FL factory. We are committed in continuing the Van Teal tradition of producing unique and functional works of art.
